Agartala/Kalyanpur Jan 12: Along with the entire nation, Tripura Pradesh Congress also paid a heartfelt tribute to Swami Vivekananda, the iconic figure of the country’s youth power, on his 163rd birth anniversary.
Pradesh Youth Congress president Neel Kamal Saha, TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman among others remembered Vivekananda, one of India’s greatest philosophers by offering floral tributes to his portrait at the state Congress headquarters, Agartala.
Talking to the reporters, Pradesh Youth Congress president Neel Kamal Saha said, “Swami Vivekananda's thoughts are still an unwavering source of inspiration for crores of youth. It was he who once said that development of a country depends on the development of youths. Swami Vivekananda, with his extraordinary oratory skills and outlook on life, made the youth of the world aware and gave them the message that a person can make his life successful through self-confidence, hard work, and introspection”.
Simultaneously, a discussion meeting was held at the Kalyanpur Congress Bhavan to commemorate Swami Vivekananda's birthday, organized by the Kalyanpur Block Youth Congress.
The event saw the participation of notable Congress leaders, including Kartik Debnath, Uddhab Biswas, Taruni Debbarma, Dharmendra Debbarma, and others.
The leaders commenced the event by offering wreaths to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda, paying their respects to the revered leader.
The Congress workers engaged in detailed discussions about the significance of the day, reflecting on Swami Vivekananda's contributions and his enduring legacy.
The sessions provided an opportunity to highlight Vivekananda's inspiring teachings and their relevance to contemporary society, encouraging the youth to embody his values and ideals.
